EN – Alpinography, the biography of alpinists who impacted the world during their lifetime.
Episode 01, season 01.
Today’s subject: Raymond Lambert.
Raymond Lambert was a Swiss mountaineer from the 1930’s to 1960’s, who cleared the way towards the summit of the Everest with the 1952 Swiss Expedition, despite having been amputated of all his toes. If it hadn’t been for his tremendous humility, Raymond would have been a renowned figure around the world.
